Kelly Duignan (pronounced "Dag-nan") holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Michigan and is Nationally Board Certified in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Prior to completing her Master's degree in Oriental Medicine, Kelly spent 3 years conducting biochemical research yielding two published articles in The Biophysical Journal pertaining to intracellular energy transfer and the mechanism of muscular contraction.

Kelly's 7 year background in the fields of biomedical research and Chemical Engineering equip her with a rare perspective of the body's physical, chemical and energetic processes. The rigorous study of physics, thermodynamics, energy & chemical reaction kinetics, and of the biochemical sciences has cultivated an uncommon way of analyzing of the Mind-Body physiology, including the underlying dynamics of Chinese Medicine. This additional dimension to her work has precipitated an arcane style of treatment, one that is well beyond the purview of most mainstream Acupuncture treatments.

Kelly Duignan is the owner and founder of WITHiN, Traditional Chinese Medicine; our 20+ year-old private practice located in Midtown, Manhattan. She completed her Master's degree in Oriental Medicine at The Emperor's College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, California and The East-West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota, Florida where she graduated in 2003 with high honors.

Kelly Duignan is an Acupuncturist, but first a Scientist. Overlaying the analytical framework inherent to the biomedical and engineering sciences upon the Chinese Medicine paradigm has engendered an unprecedented system of treatment. After spending 27 years immersed in the study of the Body-Mind, Kelly's work now goes beyond biochemistry & engineering, beyond Acupuncture, and into the realm of Alchemy.

Kelly's current research of Acupuncture dynamics explores the treatment trajectory of vitality versus aging. She also conducts workshops as well as private Guidance Sessions that accompany her Acupuncture care, in order to help patients attain deeply rooted shifts in the physiology.
